These Terms of Service govern your use of the Patriot Moving Systems website and the moving services we provide. By booking a move or using our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Services

Patriot Moving Systems provides residential and commercial moving services in Metro Detroit and throughout Michigan. All services are subject to availability and must be confirmed with a written or verbal agreement prior to the move date. We reserve the right to decline service at our discretion.

Estimates and Pricing

All estimates provided by Patriot Moving Systems are based on information you supply at the time of booking. Final charges are based on actual time worked, weight (for long-distance moves), and any additional services requested on move day. We do not charge hidden fees, but additional charges may apply for:

• Stairs, long carries over 75 feet, or elevator waits
• Specialty items such as pianos, gun safes, or large appliances
• Packing or unpacking services requested on move day
• Additional stops or significant changes to the original move scope

You will be informed of any additional charges before they are applied whenever possible.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

We ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your move. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. We understand that circumstances change and will work with you whenever possible.

Liability for Belongings

Patriot Moving Systems carries cargo insurance and takes every precaution to protect your belongings. In the event of loss or damage, our liability is limited to the terms of our cargo insurance policy. We are not liable for damage to items that were improperly packed by the customer, pre-existing damage, or items of extraordinary value that were not disclosed prior to the move.

We strongly recommend that you disclose any high-value items (artwork, antiques, jewelry, electronics) before the move date so we can take appropriate precautions.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth and efficient move, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about the size and scope of your move at the time of booking
• Ensure parking access for our truck at both the origin and destination
• Disclose any specialty items, stairs, or access challenges in advance
• Be present or have an authorized representative present on move day
• Ensure all items are ready to be moved at the scheduled start time

Payment

Payment is due upon completion of your move unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Returned checks are subject to a returned check fee. Accounts that remain unpaid may be referred to a collections agency.

Prohibited Items

We are unable to transport hazardous materials, flammable liquids, explosives, perishable food items, live plants, or animals. If prohibited items are discovered during the move, we reserve the right to leave them behind without adjustment to the final price.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Patriot Moving Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific move in question.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Macomb County, Michigan.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
